Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Electric Concept Unveiled

 Chevrolet has made a major commitment to providing world-class, fuel-efficient vehicles to its customers around the world.

In recent months, through GM's Shanghai GM joint venture, Chevrolet has introduced the fuel-efficient Cruze in China. It will introduce the Volt electric vehicle with extended range capability in 2011.

In preparation for the Volt's arrival, Chevrolet is leveraging Auto China 2010 this week in Beijing, to introduce the Volt MPV5 electric concept. 

New VW Phaeton unveiled

 Built in a state of the art transparent factory in Dresden, the new Phaeton features a new face, comprising a pair of bi-xenon headlight units complete with LED running lights and a new grille featuring two pronounced horizontal bars to lend the car a more imposing stance. 

Elsewhere, new front wings and a reprofiled hood are joined by a revised front bumper, complete with chrome strips and a set of LED foglights.

At the rear, a set of light units fitted with intricate lenses sit above a redesigned bumper. Finally, new alloys wheels complete the changes to the outside of the car.

Maybach at auto China 2010 in Beijing

Maybach revealed its high-end luxury sedans with added sparkle and with significantly extended high-class equipment and individualization options at the Beijing Auto Show.
A large new chrome radiator grille confidently emphasizes the legendary sedans' exceptional status.
Other new highlights include the hood with a shaped edge, the trim on the front bumper with daytime driving lights featuring LED technology, high-quality, dark red tail lights and a new, exclusively developed paint and stylish wheels.

Volvo C30 Polestar Performance Concept Prototype

Volvo Cars and Polestar enter their fifteenth consecutive motorsport season in the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) and as reining champions.
But prior to the new racing season, Polestar engineers have turned their attention to the road car version of their Volvo C30 racer.
Developing 405 hp and transferring the power to the road via an all-wheel-drive system, the C30 Performance Concept Prototype features a 2.5-litre turbo engine with larger intercooler and KKK 26 turbo, modified pistons, conrods and inlet camshaft

The Ferrari 599XX sets a new record on the Legendary Nurburgring

The Ferrari 599XX is the first ever production-derived sports car to break the seven-minute barrier on the classic 20.832 km Nordschleife circuit, lapping in 6 min 58.16 sec.
The 599XX, which inspired the 599 GTO, is an extreme berlinetta designed for track but not official competition use, and is a veritable technological laboratory incorporating a number of innovative solutions.
Some of these will remain the exclusive preserve of the 599XX while others have already filtered down to the 599 GTO, introduced today at the Beijing Motor Show.

ROAD TEST ~ 2010 KIA BORREGO

It may be the right truck at the wrong time.
That statement could very well sum up the fate of Kia's mid-size Borrego SUV that arrived on the market in late 2008 as a 2009 model.
Of course, that was just the time that auto sales began to tank with mid-size SUVs leading the nosedive thanks in part to a run-up in fuel prices.
Often when a manufacturer is late to the party with a vehicle it works in their favour, allowing them to take the best features of the leading contenders and use them as benchmarks for their new model.
That should have been the case for Kia with the Borrego, which in itself is a solid, well-built vehicle.

Nissan Celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Z’s First National Championship with a BRE 370Z
