Ford Vertrek Named Best Concept at 2011 North American International Auto Show
Automotive trade publication, AutoWeek, has named the Ford Vertrek the Best Concept of the 2011 North American International Auto Show.
The Ford Vertrek rose above such contenders as the Mini Paceman, GMC Sierra All Terrain HD and Toyota Prius C to win the coveted award.
Based on the global C-segment platform, Vertrek represents the vision of Ford's top design and engineering talent on how best to attract and satisfy future SUV customers around the world.
A highly efficient new 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine from the global Ford EcoBoost™ family is under hood, giving Vertrek the power of a larger-displacement powerplant while delivering significantly better fuel economy and CO2 emissions.
In Vertrek concept, this engine is mated to a new, fuel-saving Ford Auto Start-Stop technology. By 2013, 80 percent of Ford's global nameplates and 90 per cent of Ford's North American nameplates will have an EcoBoost option.
Wonderful looking vehicle. Really like the emphasis on emission concerns.

This car is interesting, the design looks great and the ingeneer under it it's amazing.
Ford is always pushing boundaries to lead the market.. Impresive!!

Ford has been so focused on serious issues such as small cars and production models of commissioning that has not had much time to develop concepts that can turn heads at car shows

Ford's Ecoboost engine will give them a head start for CAFE regulations which will require improved mileage for all cars sold in the U.S. Consumers will also appreciate these efficient engines since gas prices are at an all time high.

I'm not surprised, small SUVs seem to have most of the bang for the buck deals nowadays. Their roominess also makes them better utility vehicles too.

Amazing car....such a great piece of automotive. Ford is the most famous brand in automotive industry. That's good thing that Ford not change their designs only make it update, because their design is come perfect and nice looking at first production. Great job Ford.

2011 North American International Auto Show has advance technology cars in there auto Show. And it's very true foreign car makers that things are probably going to get more competitive and tougher in the future. Ford Vertrek has really awesome Concept. I like the Vertrek represents the vision of Ford's top design and engineering talent on how best to attract and satisfy future SUV customers around the world.
