Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LT, LTZ, SS
Station Wagon
Mar 01, 2007
The Maxx is an interesting, quasi-wagon that really draws from the Malibu's European roots with its hatchback and sliding rear seat. A 6-inch (152-mm) longer wheelbase than the already roomy sedan provides phenomenal legroom. The driver's seat can accommodate exceptionally diverse body types, thanks to standard power height adjustment, tilt/telescoping steering, and available power-adjustable pedals. For 2007, the standard 3.5-litre V6 (LT, LTZ) adopts variable-valve-timing, boosting hp to 217. The SS retains its 240-hp, 3.9-litre V6, and the transmission is a 4-speed automatic across the board. As well for 2007, dual-stage front, and front and rear side-curtain airbags, are now standard. Built off of GM's European Epsilon platform, the Malibu offers solid ride and handling.

European chassis, terrific rear-seat room

Still a lot of plastic inside
