The awesome Viper SRT10 Roadster was introduced in 2005. The Coupe joined the party in 2006. For 2007, there will be ... nothing. Dodge will continue to sell the 2006 Coupe and Roadster models until the new 2008 model arrives. The Viper remains a truly hard-core driving machine. There is no cupholder, cruise or traction control. If too much of the 8.3-litre V10's 510 hp is deployed at the wrong time, it can turn round and bite you. The only form of electronic nannying is ABS -- and that's a good thing. Yet for all its towering performance (0-100 km/h in about four seconds), the Viper is surprisingly docile to drive gently. It shifts easily, and the steering is as good as it gets.
