Audi A4 sedan
Sport Sedan
Mar 01, 2007
Audi's entry-level sedan was revamped last year, and can be had with a wide range of engines and transmissions (including the S4 and RS4 profiled elsewhere). The refined 2.0T 200-hp 4-cylinder turbocharged engine can be had driving the front wheels with a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission, or with quattro all-wheel drive, in which case the optional automatic is a conventional 6-speed. The 6-speed transmission choices can also be combined with a 255-hp, 3.2-litre V6, which comes only as a quattro. The 3.2 isn't the smoothest V6 around but otherwise these are great-driving cars. What the interiors lack in rear-seat space, they make up in excellent trim materials and fine craftsmanship.
