Volvo S60 2.5T, 2.5T AWD, T5, R
Sport Sedan
Mar 01, 2007
Since last year, the line-up for Volvo's middle-child sedan has been all-turbo, and for 2007 the S60's sporting focus is sharper still. Many of the changes are cosmetic -- deeper front spoiler, for example, and aluminum accents inside. But there's also substance, in the form of comprehensively uprated suspension. The complete S60 line encompasses four versions: a 208-hp, 2.5-litre in front- and all-wheel drive 2.5T forms; the rapid 257-hp, 2.4-litre T5; and the brash and brawny 300-hp S60R tuner sedan. The Geartronic automatic transmission is standard on the 2.5T models. The T5 and R both have 6-speed manual boxes, with optional 5- and 6-speed automatics, respectively. All-wheel drive helps the R convert its prodigious power into effective forward motion.

Great styling, thoughtful features, really fast S60R

5-cylinder engines sound weird, small back seat
