Dodge Dakota Club Cab, Quad Cab
Pickup Truck
Mar 01, 2007
Dakota is still the only midsize truck that offers an optional V8. The 4.7-litre unit, available with 230 or 260 hp, allows a best-in-class tow rating of up to 7,150 lbs. and makes a viable alternative to bulkier, thirstier full-size pickups. The standard 3.7-litre V6 makes a competitive 210 hp. Part-time or full-time 4WD systems are available. Per industry trends, there are no Regular Cab models. All Dakotas are Club Cab (with a 79-inch bed) or full four-door Quad Cabs (65-inch bed). The rear doorlets on the Club Cab open 169 degrees. For 2007, Dakota's appeal is enhanced by a standard dual-position tailgate, and new options that include remote start, YES Essentials stain-resistant fabric, and new 18-inch wheels.
