Dodge Ram Reg Cab, Quad Cab
Pickup Truck
Mar 01, 2007
The Ram 1500 received quite a thorough mid-cycle makeover for 2006, so it's status quo for this year. Ram continues in Regular or 4-door Quad Cab configurations, each with a choice of boxes (8-ft or 6.4). Available 3.7-litre V6 and 4.7-litre V8 engines are mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission, or optional 4- and 5-speed automatics respectively. The 5.7-litre Hemi, with Chrysler's cylinder-deactivation fuel-saving system, comes only with 5-speed automatic. There are also five trim levels, and 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains. All told, lots of reasons why Ram sales just keep on climbing. Sadly, the Viper-Powered SRT10, the fastest pickup in the world, is no longer available.

Available Hemi V8, "Get outta my @#!% way" styling

Interior trim quality still short of F-150 levels
