Like's its twin, the Chevrolet Colorado, the GMC Canyon is a well-executed compact truck. It offers the same body and drivetrain configurations as the Chevy (including one of the few remaining Regular Cabs), so choosing between the two may come down to styling. For 2007, we could mention minor dcor tweaks, improved tranny shift quality and uprated alternator, but all the news that really matters is MORE POWER! The 4-cylinder engine grows from 2.8 to 2.9 litres and from 175 to 185 hp; the 5-banger grows from 3.5 to 3.7 litres and from 220 to 242 hp. Mirroring Colorado Extreme, Canyon is available with sport-truck ZQ8 suspension that sure would go nicely with a V8
Solid manners, good fuel economy
Comparatively small interior, still no V8
