Lincoln Mark LT
Pickup Truck
Mar 01, 2007
Lincoln's previous attempt at a pickup -- the U.S.-only Blackwood -- was a flop because it offered little utility with its upscale appointments. That miscue was corrected with the Mark LT, which is every bit as much a workhorse as the Ford F-150 on which it's based (even down to having cart-spring rear suspension). The Mark LT comes only as a 4-door and now only as a 4x4, with a 300-hp 5.4-litre V8. It can tow 8,900 lbs. For 2007, the grille and headlamps look new, and a 6.5-ft box is optional to the standard 5.5-footer. New standard features include 20-inch chrome wheels, a power sunroof, a power sliding rear window, and power folding mirrors; a navigation system is now optional.
