Ford Freestar S, Se, Sport
Van/Minivan
Mar 01, 2007
Ford ceased production of Freestar to help free up more plant time to build the Edge and MKX crossovers. You still might find some this year, as they weren't exactly flying off the lots. At any rate, the only ones they were planning on building for 2007 were the three models powered by the torquey but unrefined 201-hp, 4.2-litre V6. The models differ primarily in features and finishes, though even the base S includes A/C, power windows, and 7-passenger seating. The Freestar's interior is not as roomy as most competitors', but its fold-flat third-row seat is among the easiest of all to stow, and can also be tilted backward. The second-row seats must be removed to maximize cargo capacity.
