Like the other full-size Detroit vans, Ford's E-Series is available in a huge number of models, from your Plain-Jane chassis cab, to a huge 15-passenger model. We're concentrating on the more traditional people movers here. While the Blue Oval's E-Series is a motoring appliance, it does stand tough against the competition. Three wheelbases are offered and a V8 engine is standard fair with three other available motors, including a V10 (!) turbo diesel. For 2007, electronic throttle control and an engine oil cooler are now standard on all models, as are larger rear anti-roll bars and a beefier drive shaft. For 5.4-litre V8 and 6.8-litre V-10 models, there's a new optional 135-amp alternator.
Available roll stability control, standard V8
