Chevrolet Malibu LS, LT, LTZ, SS
Family
Mar 01, 2007
Malibu's available 3.5-litre V6 (optional on LT, standard on LTZ) adopts variable valve-timing this year, boosting horsepower to 217. The LS and LT retain a 2.2-litre, 145-hp "four" and the sporty SS its 240-hp, 3.9-litre V6. Transmissions are 4-speed automatics across the board. As well for 2007, dual-stage front, and front and rear side-curtain airbags, are now standard. Built off of GM's European Epsilon platform, the Malibu offers solid ride and handling and an exceptionally hospitable rear seat. The driver's seat can accommodate exceptionally diverse body types, thanks to standard power height adjustment, tilt/telescoping steering, and available power-adjustable pedals. Even the LS features such standard amenities as power windows and mirrors, cruise and keyless entry.

European chassis, lots of room

Still a lot of plastic inside
