This is the fifth model year for this-generation Accord, so a complete redesign can't be far off. For now, seeing as arch-rival Camry is getting sportier, Honda has responded with a powertrain option never before offered on an Accord sedan -- a 6-speed manual transmission with the V6 engine. Too bad it's only available on the top-of-line EX-L trim grade. While the Honda V6's 244 hp is eclipsed now by the outputs of some rivals' larger 3.5-litre V6s and 6-speed or CVT automatics, the Honda 3.0 still offers unrivalled refinement. In its own way, so does the base 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine. Also new for 2007, a navigation system is available on EX-L and on the Hybrid.
