Hyundai Sonata GL, GL V6, GLS, GLS V6
Family
Mar 01, 2007
In its second year, the new generation Sonata adds a fourth trim line that combines the base 162-hp, 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine with equipment levels approaching those of the GLS V6 . Standard kit on any Sonata starts with six airbags, keyless entry, power everything, cruise and A/C. The new GLS adds, inter alia, ABS, leather, auto climate control, telescopic steering, trip computer and heated seats with driver's power adjuster -- but not 17-inch alloys and a sunroof, which remain exclusive to GLS V6. Sonata's interior provides full-size roominess, yet the 2.4 claims best-in-class fuel economy. The 3.3-litre V6 is both strong and refined. Handling is agile and sporty but at some cost in ride comfort.

Another no-excuses-needed winner from Hyundai
