Mitsubishi Galant ES, LS, Ralliart
Family
Mar 01, 2007
The Galant continues to fly under the radar of most midsize sedan shoppers. We say that's their loss, as this sedan is quite competitive. For starters, it's above-average in size for its class. For another, it has dramatic styling. Best of all, Mitsubishi has trimmed 2007 prices while adding side-curtain airbags. Also, the styling is lightly freshened, and a new Ralliart sport model will do for Galant sales what the Ralliart treatment did for the Lancer compact (Mitsubishi hopes). The expected sportied-up suspension and appearance are accompanied by some substance under the hood: the 3.8-litre V6 makes 258 hp, 30 more than in the Galant LS. The Galant ES continues with its 160-hp 2.4-litre "four."

A competitive ride for those shopping outside the box
