Pontiac G6 Base, SE, GT, GTP
Family
Mar 01, 2007
While the G6 hardtop convertible hogs the spotlight this year, the original sedan continues to advance its "built for drivers" street cred. The GTP graduates to a hi-tech 3.6-litre, 252-hp DOHC V6 mated to a 6-speed automatic. The GTP also features sport suspension, stability control and 18-inch wheels, ensuring even better handling than the already capable standard car. The 240-hp, 3.9-litre OHV V6 is now optional on the GT, partnered with either a 4-speed automatic with manual shift control, or a 6-speed manual transmission. The GT's standard 3.5-litre V6 now makes 224 hp (up 23), and is also optional on SE; the base engine remains a 169-hp, 2.4-litre "four." Also still available is the huge panorama glass sunroof.

Good handling, clean lines, lots of engine choices
