SRT10 COUPE NEW FOR 2006
The awesome Viper convertible is joined by a coupe sister vehicle for 2006, initially only in blue with twin white stripes. Either way, the Viper remains a truly hard-core driving machine. There are no cupholders, no cruise or traction control. If too much of the 8.3-litre V10's 500 horsepower is deployed at the wrong time, it can turn round and bite you. The only form of electronic nannying is ABS -- and that's a good thing. Yet for all its towering performance (0-100 km/h in about 4 seconds), the Viper is surprisingly docile to drive gently. The clutch engages smoothly, the shifter shifts easily, and the steering is about as good as it gets.
