Cadillac CTS 2.8, 3.6, CTS-V

Published on Mar 01, 2007

Back in the early '00s, the CTS sedan helped lead the charge in returning the Cadillac brand to prominence. A few years later, the CTS-V bowed and, all of a sudden, Cadillac became a luxury and high-performance marque. For 2006, the revolution continued with an even larger Corvette LS2 engine for the CTS-V (6.0-litres of V8, 400 hp). And now, for 2007, with sales going better than ever ... Cadillac is resting on its laurels for a little while. Aside from the V, CTS remains available with a DOHC V6 in 2.8- or 3.6-litre versions, either of which can be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox (imagine that, in a Cadillac!) or 5-speed automatic. Look for an all-new CTS in 2008.
