Ford F-150 Reg Cab, Super Cab, Super Crew

Published on Mar 01, 2007

In its last redesign for 2004 the F-150 set new pickup benchmarks in refinement, handling, interior ergonomics and quality. Now that its GM rival has been redesigned, Ford is responding with new options (including a nav-sys), new standard features, and a power hike to 248 hp (from 231) for the base 4.6-litre V8. More than ever, the list of available configurations is comprehensive to the point of bewildering, including a limited-edition Harley Davidson package sporting black paint, 22-inch wheels and a blacked-out interior. While the F-150's 10,500-lb maximum tow rating is claimed to be best in class, Ford also offers the SuperDuty F-250 and F-350 models, which can be equipped to tow a class-leading 19,200 lbs.
