Formula One racing’s governing body, the FIA, recently confirmed that the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix will take place at night, the first time F1 has held a race after dusk. The inaugural Singapore event will be held on a new street circuit in the Asian city and is scheduled for September 28. According to Colin Syn, Deputy Chairman of Singapore GP, two successful lighting tests have already been conducted. Also confirmed is a new European Grand Prix on a street circuit in Valencia, Spain and a confirmed date of June 8 for the Canadian Grand Prix.
