Despite running an abbreviated season, Canadian Ron Fellows was recently named the Most Popular Driver by American Le Mans Series fans for the fourth straight year. 2007 was stellar for the 48 year-old Mississauga, Ontario native and Corvette Racing driver, topped-off by news from GM that it would create a limited edition Corvette Z06 in his honour — the first signed special edition in the car’s history. Aside from the Most Popular Driver award, Fellows also received a specially commissioned Corvette painting from ALMS founder Don Panoz, in recognition of his and his wife Lynda’s charity efforts at the Petit Le Mans last year where he wore a specially designed pink race helmet that he signed and auctioned off with the proceeds going to Emory University School of Medicine's Department of Surgery and its program for Breast Cancer Research in Atlanta.
